Technical Considerations From Three Different Idents
06:4020th Century Fox
20th Century Fox doesn't follow a linear narrative. They don't bring out a story with their ident, they mainly just promote the name of their brand with intense music and golden font. They do this because as their such a big brand they don't feel the need to promote their company. Also, as their name is '20th Century Fox', the parents organisation is Fox Entertainment Group, Fox comes from the name of William Fox, so the ident is named after a man, which would be difficult to produce an ident which connects with the name of the founder of Fox Entertainment Group.
Their ident would be approximately twenty-four frames per second, this means there's twenty-four frames for ever second. Fox mainly produces films and there's twenty-four frames per second in films, television shows and dramas. The ident would have to match the film so the audience won't get a weird feeling from the different frame rates from watching the film.
20th Century Fox used the lossless video compressed algorithm. They agreed with OpenCubeHD to opted their file for Jpeg2K as a master format. They did this so they can have more storage space for their production.
They used the 1920x1080 aspect ratio so they can have full HD when they promote their ident so the audience would be impressed with the amount of effort and hard work they put in to for creating the ident.
DreamWorks
DreamWork does follow a linear narrative as their ident tells a story of how dreams are made and how they're remembered. While they also promote their brand within the ident. Their ident follows through two different purposes. As the name of their brand reflects the way it's been promoted within their ident. They do thins so people can relfect what it's like to be in a dreamlike state, and also gives the audience an idea that the films they produce are something from the extraordinary as they're not particularly realistic.
Their ident is approximately twenty-four frames per second, as they mainly produce films, which are normally twenty-four frames. Also, they mainly produce animated films and animations are usually twenty-four frames per second. They keep the ident the same frame rate towards the film so the
audience wouldn't feel uncomfortable while watching the ident then jumping into the film with the sudden different frame rate.
DreamWorks uses lossy compression, they remove information from High Dynamic Range. They did this with OpenEXR. They do this so they can balance visual quality of the file.
DreamWorks uses the 1920x1080 aspect ration so they can have full HD when promoting their brand through their ident. They do this so they can impress their audience and also see every visual quality when watching the ident.
Universal Studios
The format with Universal Studios has changed throughout the years of when it was founded. Their modern ident is formatted with no linear narrative as they're not telling a story. Universal Studios is promoting their brand with dramatic music and excellent visual quality which never disappoints their audience. Their brand name and imagery connect within the ident.
They approximately use twnety-four frames for every second in their ident, as they mainly produce films, they don't want to audience to feel uncomfortable when watching the ident, then suddenly a change of frame rate when watching the film.
Universal uses lossless compressed algorithms so they can save up on storage space for their company. They compressed their file so they can keep the same quality but minimize the file size, which saves storage.
Universal Studios has an aspect ratio of 1920x1080, so they can have full HD when promoting their ident towards an audience. They do this so they can see every visual quality within their ident when it's being broadcasted for their audience before the film.
